Aviation Photo #1689453 Rockwell Space Shuttle - NASA

[ Medium Large ]
58 of 134
In this rare fisheye view taken inside the Vehicle Assembly Building April 13, the Shuttle Atlantis has been lifted and rotated to the vertical position for the final time in preparation for STS-132, the 25-year-old space shuttle's last trip into space. After being rotated, the 100-ton orbiter was lifted to the ceiling of the 52-story building and lowered onto the rocket booster stack that will take it into space.

I bet this is the closest the space shuttle ever gets to earth (not counting the landing gear)!
