"Endeavour" freshly mated with the rest of her stack for her last flight. This external tank (ET-122) was heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina when the storm came ashore near the New Orleans-based NASA facility hence it shows the patchwork of scars from the repair work. To commemorate it's rebirth, a special logo was designed and put on the tank access door (only tank to have that honor). Referred to as the "Frankenstein tank" due the look. She did her job and burned up over the Indian Ocean as per plan.

The detail is amazing, and the exposure is spot on. The side lighting really helped to highlight the cockpit area and nose cone.
