802 / 145546 NASA's Digital Fly By Wire (FBW) testbed. After modifications, this aircraft was first flown in 1972. The guidance computer built for the Apollo spacecraft was used to translate pilot control inputs into control surface deflections. Such systems are now commonly used on such aircraft as the F-16 and Boeing 777.
