Judging from the two bar, this aircraft is being placed in/out of the hanger. By lifting this up as seen, you eliminate the threat of a strike while the aircraft is being taken in or out. My guess.

Yup, to have the tail clear the top of the hangar door...

The hangar door opening might be too low. Lifting the nose, the tail goes down...

A new "Low Rider" for the LAX market?

I would also think it is for tail clearance issues. Great shot!

The tail would strike the hangar if the nose weren't lifted :-)

It caught my attention because of the unusual angle from which it was taken. I later realized that the aircraft is being towed but is tail heavy.

I've flown this aircraft once, it's pretty nice. But as a modern pilot, after a while you start to miss your usual autopilot :P But only just a little bit. Cause this is one of the greatest Fokkers I've ever flown!

Dear airliners.net:)

Here is a really good old friend om mine, from the 70's and the 80's. Had some trips with some of them during those years. Comfort and joy:) Jacob Hansen, Harstad, Norway.

Not sure if it is going into or coming out of the hangar but: Towing = pulling and Pushing back = what it says.

So for the smarties out there, Pushed into the hanger and towed out of the hangar.

But not idea why they make it do a wheelie :)

Potential tail strike if it were to takeoff at this angle. Lol
