The 'Dutch Lion' flying next to the Red Yak-52 from the Yakkes Foundation during a photoflight for the Sanicole Airshow 2009 photobook. Thanks to Hanno Wesdorp for flying the Texan photoship, Ralph 'Sheik' Aarts in his F-16 and Jerome van der Schaar in his Yak-52.

The background`s a bit dull and hazy, but the aircraft are so crisp and clean! nice but an unfair fight! :) :) :)

Absolutely love this photo. Rare to get a close in, high-alpha shot like this. Fly-by-wire in the F-16 working overtime! Keep up the good work

It's very interesting to see the angle of attack that the F-16 needs to have to sustain the ''little prop aircraft'' speeds. Also notice the wings slats deployed. Beautifull, to say at least.

Wow! My favorite livery! You feel like actually touching the F16! 5*!

The past & present side by side, with the F16 looking like it is almost at stall speed to match the pace of the Yak52.

The photo itself is really good, but I'm getting tired of seeing good photos ruined by a logo. What the photographer expect? just to ruin the pleasure of air fans or are they afraid that someone will stole their precious work?? so why send the picture at all??? I would propose to AIRLINERS.NET to refuse publication of such pictures: be sure that in a short while this bad habit will cease!.
