This is a pretty good example of aerodynamics in action - as mentioned by the photographer. Aircraft controls are crossed as the pilot lowers the left wing into the crosswind, and at the same time keeps the nose from swinging to the left, maintaining alignment with the runway centerline - by using a large amount of opposite rudder.
Another technique pilots use to counter a strong crosswind is to crab all the way to just before touchdown - then swing the nose using rudder, to be in-line with the runway centerline just as the tires touch down. I bet you already knew that!
