Great shot but what a pity for the aircraft and its owners!

I remember that I was their for that show. Pensacola is such a great place to live, especially during the Blue Angels Homecoming show, not to mention the many practices you can watch each week.

Great news!! Thanks! It would be very sad not to see her fly again.

It is always so heartbreaking to watch a warbird get damaged. I saw a P-51 land gear up at the Quad City Air Show quite a few years ago (2004 I think).

Very nice photo! They have already repaired this aircraft back to flying condition this same aircraft was on static for the 2009 show.

That would be intense! Look at all those sparks. Glad the pilot walked away (I presume).

Oops! It's never good when you need full power to taxi.

I assume this was not part of the plan?

Ooh! It makes me cringe! Such a fantastic airplane! One hates to see anything bad happen to it.

A visitor from Australia posted Fri November 20, 2009:
Aww, poor plane. Good to see the pilot could hold on and not eject!! He looks prety anxious.

Ouch! That had to hurt! Nice capture.
