And to the 4th comment from the bottom, it must have been really great to fly and fall in love with this beautiful aircraft. it sure is sad to see it leave the sky. bless fedex and its other remaining operators for keeping it off the ground!
A visitor from - posted Fri October 16, 2009: NWA sure screwed the pooch on the tail paint, though. They should have had the engine nacelle and base red as well. At minimum, the fairing above the engine should be red.
A visitor from Belgium posted Wed April 9, 2008: The DC10 seems to be one of the most special aircrafts still and to my opinion this picture emphasizes some of its characteristics: its powerful looks and balanced design i read comments in the newspaper, saying that, on one hand it is a rather noisy plane but at the other hand pilots love to fly it.. a very beautiful picture Philip Z.
