Last takeoff of Northwest B747-200 for scheduled flight!! Goodbye Seattle. We take the last scheduled pax flight of Northwest B747-200 from Seattle to Minneapolis as NW170 in a dull day. Terminal A and S of Seattle airport are clearly showing right in front of my eyes. Today is a really special day for old aircraft, Note there is a DC-3 parked at the Terminal A. [ Canon 350D ]

Another great pic in The Emerald City! Actually, this is one of the best photos at the big airport that I've seen so far.

Sad to see NW's 742's go out of service, why can't they retire the DC-9's!

Awesome! By the way that A330 there just finished its first passenger flight right before this picture was taken, and then this 742 had its last passenger flight (with NW anyway). One of life's little ironies.

Great shot! Glad you mentioned the DC-3 in the background. At a glance, I would have missed it.

Very historical shot, with the AA DC3 and this old NW 742. Also nice to capture the Asiana 772 and China Airlines 343 at the S terminal.

I grew up watching these old beauties take off near my house in SEA - sad to see them go. Thanks for capturing the moment here!

Great Shot! It is kind of sad that NWA was operating it that long, I never knew they still had them until today. Now... all we need it to either get rid of the DC9s or re-engine them.
