Lots of things were going on here. Remarkable storm development over Detroit, as you can see a part of the city has been under the thunder shower already. An unknown airplane was flying parallelly, my guess is AA. Downtown Detroit and highway I-96 are clearly visiable. (Canon 10D+17-40 L)

Amazing weather conditions, looks to be climbing at 4,000ft. I love these kind of photos!

That gray mist below one of the storm clouds in the center of the picture is a rain shaft. I also notice that that airplane parallel to the 747-451 is flying very close to the storm clouds. I hope they don't crash.
