Detail of dumping fuel from a 744. The #4 engine was down when we enrouted DTW-NRT on NW11. We had to dump fuel before diverting to SEA for an emergency landing. My second time to experience a dumping fuel in six months. (2 of 2)

Everytime i hear about a fuel dump, i cry a little on the inside. Pollution is bad already when burning fuel, let alone dumping it in complete vain.
