I don't know if I'm lucky or unlucky. I experienced dumping fuel twice in just six months! First time was on a Air China 747 (Phot id:842786) and here comes the second one. The #4 engine was down when we enrouted DTW-NRT on NW11. We had to dump fuel before diverting to SEA for an emergency landing. Though delayed several hours in SEA for engine repaire and I missed the connection in NRT, I was very happy to be able to take this shot. So, if you want to take those photos, fly with me!:)

Interesting shot, it's a rarity to shoot a fuel dumping, but looks cool!! Intersting to see a fuel dumping over land, isn't it normally done over water? The fuel dumping is necessary so that the aircraft doesn't land overweight and stress something out. Maybe I should come flying with you :).

The fact the picture was clear through the windows, with little reflection, resulted in this amazing shot. Not everyone knows why there something coming out of the edge of the wing. Good thing the "shooter" didn't panic or cause a commotion.
