I really hated the way DELTA put a NW pointing chevron on their tails. The southern airline can't hold a candle to the NW one.
NWA's last colour scheme was one of the best, one of the coolest around, in my opinion, too. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing their 757's and A330's in this scheme at AMS. Shame it's gone, Delta should make a retro bird in a couple years time wearing it again, just in the way US Airways honours the airlines it sprouted from.
Always thought the NWA scheme was one of the best around. Clean and cool. Delta's widget is growing on me, but it's just not the same. Another thing I'll miss is the DC-9. Her days are numbered, as Delta recently ordered 737s. I will miss the 5-across seating - my wife got her aisle seat, and I got my window. Now I'll be stuck in the middle unless we spring for the front cabin.
I think its funny on how the NWA widget on the body has to be only turned 45 degrees up to get that odd looking Delta widget, lol. Sad to see NWA go.
Funny that these two birds are together those two companies are merging, Delta and Northwest
Excellent shot! Love the comparison!
Great photo - but sad to see NWA go
