Retiring soon? Engineless and stagnant these planes are standing here for a while. N763NC on the left lost control and collided with an Airbus A319 spilling fuel into the cockpit and opening the cabin roof. Five days before that, a fuel truck collided into the nose of N960N on the right.

Haha! they really need to retire these DC-9s, i mean i saw a pic the other day that they are retiring A320s but are still flying these??

The DC-9 fleet are much better than the Airbus A-320 series. I think this photo is a great example of how great the DC-9s are!

Surprising how NW is just scrapping these. Yes, they are old, but they could be repaired. Someone already took the engines and some doors. lol

This photo brings back so many memories. We stayed in that hilton the night before my first flight. Flew on a NWA 757-300 to Orlando. I can remember looking out the window and watching planes land all night long! Live on NWA!
