Ex B-LFC with Oasis Hong Kong, this Lump now sits on the dirt at Marana, waiting to see what fate befalls it next.

Well, it seems she won't be there for a long time. At least they are protecting even the landing gear with that silver film!

It is a shame to see this here but there are 3 more of them. All ferried there from HKG last year

Are the other Oasis-planes still at Victorville? I've seen some of them there, when I was a Marana, there were no Oasis there.

Great picture btw ;)

What a great view of all the aircraft! Its too bad to see this 747 here, because didn't Oasis say it was one of the newest built 74s?

Oh my goodness this is just what i was afraid of. if they stop making 747's they'll get demoted from king of the sky to king of the junkyard.

Certainly a poignant sight. Flew this bird HKG-LGW in June 2007, shortly after del to O8 and certainly during happier times.

This one is now flying for Lion Air, isn't it?

Uh, you people do realize that the desert is for storage too, right? Just because it is here, doesn't mean it will be scrapped, OK? The 744 is an efficient, modern aircraft, and those in the desert will find new homes. EIther with their original carrier, 2nd tier carrier, VIP, or in cargo.

A recession always causes these places to fill up, but in a little while when the economy improves, these planes will be flying again.
