The classic 707 still has such beautiful lines, and this photo brings home the era of grace in flying...

A very rare photo of SX-DBB,the second 707 of OA,sold later to ALIA-ROYAL JORDANIAN.OLYMPIC started serving the ATH-NYC route in 1966 and that was quite a move for a small size airline.

Great historic old photograph - well done! Beautiful aircraft, abysmal parking/marshaling job - it's well-off the centre line!

Very nice to see a few 707's in one shot...also interesting to see that Olympic's livery hasn't changed that much over the years!

Amazing picture from an amazing era; a sleek, 6-month old 707 and an airline that was then among the fastest-growing in the world. Too bad Olympic is about to shut down now.

43 years later, OA's ATH-JFK was axed just today, (Sep 29th 2009) because of the shutdown of Olympic Airlines and it's re-launch as Olympic Air :((((

Miss you old OA. Thanks for everything!

This photo displays stunning clarity despite being taken by a vintage camera. the subject of the photo is definitely made clear but the other details in the background are also seen. this balance between background and main subject makes it an absolutely timeless photo.

I flew on this aircraft in August 1970,on the Athens-Paris leg (at that time there was no direct ATH-JFK flight),OA411.One of my schoolmates' father was the FO on that flight.
