Actually Gordon did expose this image correctly. There's inherently a huge brightness contrast between the shaded cockpit and the outdoor direct sunlight. Exposing for the "outside world" would leave the instruments in the dark. One other approach is to use fill flash, but Gordon may not have had one available. Thanks for the great cockpit photo!

Gotta love the layout, the color, the teddy-bear is simply the icing on the cake. You can't tell this is an old a/c, I am simply lost for words. I love analog cockpits.

It's a shame you didn't expose the image correctly so the "outside World" was also visible and not just a white out.
