@ the February 18 comment: Of course it makes sense! this is airliners.net my friend. We love airplanes and anything aviation as much as Jay Leno loves cars!! I for one NEVER fly unless I secure my beloved window seat! :)

I am reminded of the days when after a sortie in some part of the country or planet, I was at last homeward bound, and after having bought a window seat, and often fought to maintain it, I was able to lean my weary head against the window and gaze at the magic sight of the rows of rivets, the gleam of the aluminium, the roaring of the magic engine as it not only buzzed me into a feeling of complete relaxation, but reminded me that I was employed in the most magic profession that I could be in. Make sense? dont care if it doesn't, its how it effects me. Excuse the spelling but the scene already makes me feel dozy.

That really illustrates the monotony of sitting in a holding pattern for 40 mins. near the end of a long flight!
