First aeroplane i ever flew in, Parafield, all over grass then, to Essenden. As an eleven year old I had the 'airborne ephiphany' and once mesmerised by flight, carried on to get a licence and am still at it, with an interest of anything that leaves the ground. If I ever won lotto a DC 4 as a Flying Museum to the early years of ANA and TAA would be the go. Or a TAA Convair 240 would do!.
The overcast conditions mute the bare metal glare, and the pleasing shape of this classic airliner brings back memories of those aircraft that used to growl out over the Adelaide hills, the 4 radials singing a song that was music to a young lads ear.
But yesterday is far away... so its great to see some of it still exists. Just HAVE to hear it!!
