CF-TFZ (cn 13139) Crashed May 30, 1956 while operating for Pacific Western Airlines. While landing on the ice, the left gear broke through, resulting in damage to the fuselage and left wing spar. She was pulled up on shore and stripped of parts before being abandoned.

At first sight I thought this was a highly original "Boat House"!. Still in amazing condition after all this time. Pity no one has put together a rescue plan for this rare bird, or have they?. Big B.

Thanks for the outstanding aerial view. Many WWII abandoned airframes in New Guinea that looked beyond hope have also been rescued and restored. Although not airworthy, this rare one is worth saving to be displayed in a museum.
