The dust kicks close to lift off as downwash from wings coupled with thrust hit runway and spill onto unprepared surface. It trails behind by a distance twice the length of aircraft. Traffic is managed till cloud of dust vanish which takes around three to four minutes in light wind. No worries about safety.

Nicely caught. I suppose, on landing all this sand goes straight into the engines when thrust reversers are deployed?

Yeah, it's a great shot! But I think the people who operate this airport need to do some SERIOUS dust mitagation.........like maybe covering some of that sand with some rocks, gravel, grass, weeds, whatever; anything to keep down all that dust!

Wow! You'd expect this kind of photo with a small jet departing, a 737 at most. But a 777, that is truly impressive. My vote!
