N817PA (cn 453) "Clipper Midnight Sun" is ready for pushback from gate B33. This was my last photo of a Pan Am plane. It was already operating for Delta with a small sticker behind the cockpit windows. Soon thereafter the paint was removed, so this was quite a short-lived combination. [Kodachrome 64]

A visitor from - posted Tue March 10, 2009: I must say this is a classic view at Frankfurt (MAIN): the Pan Am A-310 with the Delta sticker, the Lufthansa B-737 in its old colors and a couple of Lufthansa B-747 in their current scheme. Nobody mentioned the DC-3 on the background. I know it is part of the airport
A visitor from Netherlands posted Sun January 4, 2009: Yes, great nostalgic pic, even tho I cant really talk about nostalgia myself, since this shot was taken exactly one day before I was born! But I just love that Pan Am livery with the large letters spread over the whole fuselage and the Delta sticker makes this one an exclusive shot! And I have to agree with one of the commentors below me, that old Lufthansa livery is also awesome... Damn when I come to think of it, if all airlines were to go back to an older scheme it would generally give nicer liveries, I think.
