A visitor from United States posted Tue April 10, 2012: This picture brings back memories of PamAm.It used to be that whenever I flew into a major airport and PanAm would be there.I was at Haneda seeing a friend off and he got lucky enough to fly on the 747 that always made a round the world flight.Whenever it was my turn to transfer back to CONUS,I got to fly on a Transinternational Airlines flight out of Clark AB.Coming back from Dhahran Saudi Arabia in '91, the flight before ours was a PanAm flight.We drew a United 747.We got to come home,but I never got to fly on a PanAm plane.I never will either.Oh well all is good.The flight attendants that flew us home were all the most senior attendants,and it was a wonderful 15 hour trip.That 15 hours is not counting time on the ground.Thanks for the memories.

A visitor from - posted Tue March 10, 2009: I must say this is a classic view at Frankfurt (MAIN): the Pan Am A-310 with the Delta sticker, the Lufthansa B-737 in its old colors and a couple of Lufthansa B-747 in their current scheme. Nobody mentioned the DC-3 on the background. I know it is part of the airport
A visitor from Netherlands posted Sun January 4, 2009: Yes, great nostalgic pic, even tho I cant really talk about nostalgia myself, since this shot was taken exactly one day before I was born! But I just love that Pan Am livery with the large letters spread over the whole fuselage and the Delta sticker makes this one an exclusive shot! And I have to agree with one of the commentors below me, that old Lufthansa livery is also awesome... Damn when I come to think of it, if all airlines were to go back to an older scheme it would generally give nicer liveries, I think.
