This photo was taken on December 1, 1979 on our final approach to Miami, International Airport. We were returning from a week’s vacation in Haiti. This was my first flight on a 707 and I remember being amazed at the amount flexibility the wing and engine nacelles had, it made me very uneasy. Minolta SRT-101

Brilliant in quality! If you hadn't marked the date and had I failed to note the aircraft type I would have thought this photo were taken yesterday.

A lot of extra hardware hanging on those pylons the suction relief doors are obvious

Nice detailed photo. Lets me imagine being in the passenger seat of a great classic aircraft. Today planespotting isn't what it used to be with nearly everything being twinjets of various sizes.
