N739PA (cn 19646/15) "Clipper Maid of the Seas". Was "Clipper Morning Light". Clipper 120 heavy to LHR is seen lining up runway 25R. First flight was January 25, 1970. Delivery date was February 15, 1970. Wears FN 739 with Pan Am. Sadly, W/O December 21, 1988 with Pan Am as N739PA over Lockerbie, Scotland - due to bomb explosion on board with 259 fatalities + 11 on ground - r.i.p.

Aircraft: N739PA (741). Route: LHR-JFK. 243 Passengers, 16 Crew Members. Plastic explosive had been detonated in the airplane's forward cargo hold, triggering a sequence of events that led to the rapid destruction of the aircraft in the town of Lockerbie.
