Remark Photographer
F-OHPJ (cn 173) With a massive cloud buildup near the Koolau mountains behind, a pretty heavy rainfall formed, leaving the darkest of dark skies ever! This Philippine A343 taxiing on taxiway C for runway 26L is bathed in beautiful morning light, showing its full glory.

Its a great shot to the oldest airline in Asia and the first one to cross the pacific ocean. PAL has been a world class airline for Filipino and of the whole world.....Nice seeing here the whole A340 with the good weather on the background,, WOW,,,,,,AMAZING!!!!

One word to discribe this photo: WOW
Look at the weather, just great

Only one thing to say:wow!!!

A visitor from Philippines posted Thu September 28, 2006:
The aircraft stands out of its background nice contrasts. Philippine Airlines, which by the way the oldest airline operating in Asia under the same name, still looks good with its livery until now.

Simply amazing !!

Why are the engines of the early versions of A340 so tiny? Like a wide body jet with DC-8 engines.

I like the scary grey sky.

Man those engines are tiny compared to the A340-500/600 versions!

Beautiful plane, great livery, great picture, and thank you for sharing it with us. the philippine airlines color for some reason looks awesome and never gets dull or boring to look at.

Great shot. With the gloomy skies as a backdrop, the aircraft seems to stand out more.

Awesome picture of the beautiful Airbus A343 of the Philippine Airlines! A beautiful sunrise aircraft that lands in a beautiful sunrise city.

A visitor from United States posted Wed March 15, 2006:
Amidst the dark contrast in the background, the colorful tail and its immaculate white paint greatly enhances the beauty of Philippine Airline's Airbus A340-313X.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat March 11, 2006:
Good photo but evan better editing. The way you have kept the light & great contrast on the bottom half and the photo evan with the darkness at the top of he photo! Great work well done!

A visitor from Philippines posted Fri March 10, 2006:
Awesome A340 by Philippine Airlines..The white cody catches more light and the heavy contrast in the background keeps the picture in a robust scheme. And take note that they are the only carrier in the world to complete the A300-series by airbus..

A visitor from Spain posted Mon March 6, 2006:
Very nice photo!

A visitor from United States posted Tue December 27, 2005:
WOW- What a contrast between the storm clouds rolling in and the clear skies. The photo looks like it might have been taken at night, but the plane shows up so well with the sun.
