There`s nothing more beautifull about this photo then the scars this aircraft have. These fight marks are all about aviation is, and that`s why i`m a pilot.

Ah, good research! Yeah, I saw the docu about the terrorist attack, it was on Air Crash Investigation...

I am sure this plane is in much better shape on this photo than it was on 11 December, 1994, when a bomb exploded on board while she was flying as EI-BWF from Cebu to Tokyo, flight Philippines 434. A young Japanese man died on that flight, RIP.

A visitor from United States posted Wed March 29, 2006:
Nice close up pic- you can even see the little 'aoa vane' below the nose, that was part of the 'gust response system' that was offered by Boeing to smooth out yaw excursions in turbulence.

The thing actually did pretty well every time I flew it, but had a lot of trouble with the thrust reversers- there weren't many sets of them made (JT-9D-70A engines, rare) and if they weren't tweaked just right they wouldn't work very well. Otherwise it always seems to get the job done, if not necessarily on the same day it was supposed to!

Anyway, loved the photo, the detail is really something, rivets and all... always like pics of ol' 921.

Has anybody checked the maint.records of this craft??
If the outside appearance of an aircraft is an indication of the inside functioning and reliabilaity, this aircraft needs to be grounded.

Bet this bird can't wait for next Check to get polished and painted. That is, if the owner want' to some extra cash ;)

Awesome shot of a awesome machine. This is how a real freighter should look like. No shining mirrors for little girls... Raw power and apearance. Yeah!

Ouch! Poor thing :)

A visitor from Germany posted Sun March 26, 2006:

This one must be having some busy days, no time for paintings... But the bad paint is cool :)
