Honeywell had a 720 testbed till at least 2007... But they probably retired it since, as you say this is the last. 720 the modified lightweight 707-100 shortbody, a hotrod in comparison to the '07!

Boeing didn't put the engine up front, Pratt & Whitney did as part of their testing program. They needed a frame to try the motor airborne...
