Wow nice pic... i think as a final farewell to the F-11 they should line all of them up over there main base at RAAF amberley and do one massive dump and burn. Can you imagine 20+ of these doing that, i can and it would be awesome

this is known in the USAF community as a "Zippo".

I didn't recognise it at first - never seen an Aardvark at this angle before.
The reflection of flame from the surfaces is beautiful!

Only in Australia!!! As for pics of the "pig", it's the pick of the bunch! I can't wait for these boys to light up the Brisbane night sky in September to signify the beginning and end of Riverfire!

Love the glow near the wing tips and that small trail of smoke leading into the huge after burn. Awesome pic

A visitor from United States posted Sun April 29, 2007:
This IS a great shot, apparently captured in the instant. It also appears to be a sunset, providing the pink glow of the vortices from the wingtips. In addition, the photo parameters were good enought to capture lots of detail.

A visitor from United States posted Sun April 29, 2007:
One of the most amazing jet shots I have ever seen. The picture really captures this maneuver perfectly.

Great photo as you can see the fuel dumping and igniting. Serious skill involved in getting a photo like this...

The light and shadows are great. I also appreciate the difficulty of capturing the right moment.

A visitor from United States posted Sun April 29, 2007:
You have really captured the almost magical aura of the plasma surrounding the jet. Well done, great shot.
