Remark Photographer
VH-OQD (cn 026) The result of QF's self-imposed A380 ground stop is quite visible here! It looks like 1 A380 is finished with its inspection while the other 2 still have their covers wide open for inspection! Hopefully, all of these birds will return to service soon & ole' Nancy Bird will be repaired quickly!

Extremely rare to see 3 x QF A380's together. To date, not even seen this at QF home base.

Two A380s were leaving LAX but were not allowed to get off the ground as QF grounded their jets. The onther A380 was alreay in the sky from Sydney to LAX.

Self-imposed is good. QF should check its internal MRO procedures and staff. There is a reason that this didnt happen neither to LH nor SQ, but to QF, which also had GE issues on their 744ERs recently with turned-back flights and so...

One of the best pics on a.net! I cant imagine them being out of service much longer tho : ) Anyone know why they are all in LAX? Were they just there when the grounding took effect? One would think they would be in SYD...

Great pic! I don't really know much background information on the subject but all 3 were in LAX when they enforced the A380 grounding? Or did they take them there specifically? Id assume they would be at SYD?

Awwww poor babies... the king of the skies A380 is just sitting there waiting for their inspection

A visitor from - posted Wed November 17, 2010:
I think there is one wide open for inspection and two already done and sitting there. The 747s are probably taking over the A380s for now.

By far the best picture I have seen of this scene at LAX (four stars)! One more star for your remark on your photo.
