A visitor from United States posted Wed July 4, 2012: Beautiful, soft lighting. Great angle Luis. BTW, athe hyphen IS in the right place. Mr. Walton nicknamed "Nancy Bird" as Nancy-Bird per Wikipedia essay about her. She attended the reception of VH-OQA. Delighted that QANTAS and Airbus and Rolls-Royce got her airborne again.
A visitor from - posted Sat October 29, 2011: Nice to see this bird when she was still in excellent condition...Named after the founder of Australian Women Pilot's Association, Nancy Bird Walton. Sadly, this aircraft was damaged as Flight 32 on November 4, 2010 when her #2 RR engine suffered an uncontained engine failure. Kudos to the great crew for bringing her and everybody back safely, considering the damage the aircraft sustained. Aircraft still under repair and will be back in the air by next year:)Thanks for this photo!!!
