You really caught the king and the queen in one shot and both in the same livery thousands of miles from home - it is amazing indeed.

Excellent opportunity for a photograph, and well taken! the clear blue skies really complement the clean white and red livery of the aircraft. It really is unarguable that the 744 is such a beautiful aircraft in comparison to the 380, and referring to another comment, QF operate many multi-sector flights, and I'm assuming the 744 is operating something like SYD-LAX-JFK.

I must say that A388 is looking fabulos. 744, however, will always the most beautiful airplane ever. Great catch Josh, thanks for sharing. Yousuf/CA

It's a great shot. The departing Queen of the skies B747 gives way for the arrival of the Empress of the skies, the A380.

The A380 may be the biggest passenger liner now, but this picture shows why the 747 will always be the Queen of the Skies; it's a beautiful passionate design, while the Airbus lives up to the 'bus' part of it's name. Art vs. utility?

This picture is so beautiful I can't even thank you enough for sharing it! Obviously QF 747 its operating the LAX-JFK leg of the SYD-LAX-JFX-LAX-SYD sector.

This photo shows that really the Airbus' ugliness lies in the cockpit windows being too low. If it was high up like the 747s, then it would look a lot better than it is now.

The 747 was all alone. Now he has a little brother already taller than him. It will take him a little space! lol

I saw the 380 at Le Bourget. His silence, these wings ... Wonderful!
