I like to sit by the window and look at the whole panorama of flight. I've been flying for more than 60 years and it still thrills me. So if these are the sort of accommodations being placed in F, guess I'll stay in the back where I can press my camera and my nose against the plexiglas. Those folk up front don't know what they're missing! -rsa 2010-05-04

Mate you must have pretty high standards to not call Qantas A380 1st class stunning! I love the amount of space you get!

The designer of this seat should be fired. Why would you take away the option of looking out the window to the person who pays the most? That and the interior that was inspired by a stop light... Shame.

Pretty bland and boring First class compared to the leading asian and middle east airlines.

Hey come on guys its a red eye who cares?! and any way all it is is the pacific ocean below you! better to get a good nights sleep than stare out a black window. sitting in a small seat for 14 hours isn't fun, especially when you re trying to get some sleep!

I think it's anything but pathetic. One of Australia's most prolific designers has helped create an exceptional premium product. Sure the privacy is nothing compared to Singapore suites, and the colour leaves a little to be desired but it extremely spacious and comfortable. The service level on QF A380's has been improved dramatically. Enjoy it while it lasts as all future A380 orders from 2012 will not be fitted with First. They are removing the first cabin replacing them with the revised fully flat Skybed business seats, whilst also increasing premium economy. First class will be retained on certain flights to Europe (London) and the US.

How are you going reach that book or cupholder. Through the wall or completely leaning over. But yea its a lot of space. But I would take Singapore or business

Please have a seat the doctor will be with you in a minute :).

Obviously the seat rotates to the right so it can fully strech out to a comfy bed, and you can easily reach the cupholder and a book if you put it on the side table. You must have very limited imagination if you can not see that.

Also it makes for the space to be use a bit better and an extra row of seats.

What good is a side-table when you're asleep?

Has anybody noticed that the seat can't rotate so no stretch of leg on the foot-rest?It's blocked by the lateral "wall"...
