Birds of a feather. 747 & friends. These birds complement one another just fine. Operators of both types who do their homework well should end up ONLY smiling to the bank for as long as they are in service.

When I see the A380 like this, I always feel some kind of frustration. But I just figured out what it is: those wings were made for a longer version of the plane. With the -900, the A380 would be able to show it's true beauty. But it isnt coming so soon, is it...?

Are the doors left open to keep the temperature inside aircraft cool?

Not sure the 380 will ever be a beauty (long or short), the compromise in the nose will never change, but agree the dimensions will be more balanced when stretched.

P.S. They are not in motion, but pretty static :)

The proportions of the A380 are forsure not correct, it lacks in lenght, the wing is not suited. On the picture I agree it is less obvious, but in real life there is no way around.

The difference in size between 747 and A380 is also not really that much, except for the wing area again. The way they are lined up favours the A380 in the picture.

Personally, I think those huge wings are just stunning any unique with the way they bend unlike any other plane, giving the A380 a very magestic look, like she's about to flap her wings and take-off.
