Del 08/90. "City of Darwin". Whoa, not much room for error here! A QF 744 just about to become airborne off Rwy 34R. You won't see this very often, this runway is usually off limits to 744's. However with a disabled BA 744 blocking the main runway the active runway became the much shorter Rwy 34R.

Indeed one of the best shots from the 3rd runway here in Sydney. Massive jumbo taking off from a short runway. Impressive!

A most unusual shot both because 744s rarely use RWY 34R at YSSY and because rotation has occurred as close as you would dare to the end of the RWY.
