Saw it flying out Monday...a bit of a change from the ole gray ones I think. Cool plane.
This is the second C-17 which is going to the Qatar Emiri Air Force, it is not owned by Qatar airlines so im not sure why its painted in their livery, the other Qatari C-17 left Long Beach earlier the day that this photo was taken in the normal grey military colours with QEAF titles on it.
To bad about the white part they should have done it in grey
Before it went ot the flight line it was inside the hangar after paint. Very odd looking up close .
It isn't the photo that is fantastic it is the aircraft and the Qatar colours. It looks fabulous. Beauty is in the eye of the 'beerholder'!
Great!! Long live the Globemaster! :)
Very nice photo i didnt know that Qatarairways owns c-17s...
I thought it was for passengers, they have to change this livery to more aggressive one...
Wonder what cargo she will carry?
This is a very interesting photo. Its a beautiful C-17, but the Qatar Airways colors look truly out of place and awful.
It's Giant!!! | |
OK, I'll be the first... a beautiful C-17 painted in a horrible paint scheme. The livery does not belong on this military jet. Awful, Yuck!!
It's not a dream! Military in airline livery
Wow...very stunning picture. With the C-17 shape and this paint scheme, this is one of the best looking planes that I have ever seen. This will gather a lot of attention.
Wow! i never thought that c-17's were for civilian use the qatar colors look amazing on it
Awesome, the best livery on C17 so far
An amazing livery on a great looking plane. I thought I was drunk when I saw a C-17 with an airline scheme...
Amazing the views on this photo! over 31,000 in one day! must be among the most?!
The antelope looks great on that tail!
Such a sexy looking aircraft
This must be the best looking C17 aircraft I have ever seen. Five stars from me. Badr
Think this example is destined for use in support of the Emir, carrying limousines etc as part of the Amiri flight, most of the other aircraft used in this purpose carry standard Qatar Airways schemes. Looks stunning however, does raise the question of Boeing reviving the BC-17 proposal to keep the line running
What an awesome picture. Looks so natural too.
In one word .... awesome! The quality of this photo is worth more than 5 stars...
Mmm... I wonder if it could be made into a double-decker passenger jet? It is really cool to see a plane like this in an airline livery. Great stuff!
Intresting!!! I thought the concept of the MD-17 or the civilian version of the Globemaster III has been revived
Airplane is beautiful. Its actually a Qatar air force aircraft. I don't find it very odd that they used their civilian airlines livery, considering the Gov't of Qatar owns the airline.
You know...I would have never thought that I'd see C-17 fly the stratosphere in a Qatar Airways livery. But I'll admit, it looks very acceptable in a more "colorful" scheme than just the traditional gray that the Air Force uses. Wonderful picture and remarkable clarity. -A380PIC
What a catch! I think for a moment that the "BC-17" project was alive again... Nice picture and thanks for it. Cheers.
Great shot Micheal! Thought I would never see a C-17 in this awesome paint scheme! Hope I can see this a/c in real!!
Wow! That's what I call special. A military plane waring a civil, airliner livery. I love it. They should keep it this way. Would be a nice camo like the old soviet airforce planes wearing Aeroflot liveries.
I think the C-17 looks amazing in an airline livery and would love to see it in other paint schemes as well. Well done!
Wow, that is crazy stuff... looks awesome. Imagine it with all the other airline c/s
Never thought I would see an airline livery on a Globe Master!
Awesome photo. Me too I wonder "WTF?" watching the photo at first. It's like to see an Alitalia C130 !
Looks stunning! | |
Incredible! Soo nice! A "civil"Globemaster!!
I thought it looked different, awesome, very neat idea
Awesome!!!! Great Find Mike
Beautiful!!! I have seen drawings of the C-17 in FedEx paint before, but seeing this in real life is like a dream!
Nice photo, Mike! You got it very quick! Brian Y.
Do they want to use it commercially as well?
MY GOD! That is beautiful!
This must be the coolest paint job on a c17 globemaster hope to see more like this. cool pic michael keep it up
This is just crazy! Great photo though! Does anyone know why they painted the aircraft this way?
Stunning livery on a stunning aircraft! Cheers- Sean D'Silva (BOM)
It's a definitely beautiful Globemaster. I hadn't imagined this plane in an airline scheme until today but she has a really nice shape for civil scheme as well as military gray color.
