I spent many hours flying this airplane into Aspen, Avon and Steamboat. It is like an old part of me and a love of my former self. Beautiful machine and wonderful to fly. It is grafeful and the photo portrays that.

I spent many years as a pilot for Rocky Mountaon Airways flying the de Haviland Dash 7. Although it was relatively under-powered, slow, hot in the summer time and cold during the winter months, I will forever miss this airplane. I was proud to be a part of an outstanding airline which provided me an opportunity to work alongside some of the airline industry's finest pilots and flight attendants. It saddens me to know that many of the Dash 7 aircraft will never fly again, including 47RM, which I flew at Rocky Mountain Airways, Continental Express and at an airline that I founded, Maverick Airways. My days in the Dash 7 were the best of my flying career and I will forever cherish the memories of flying this incredible machine throughout the Rocky Mountain region which included destinations ideally suited for the de Havilland Dash 7 such as Aspen. (ASE), Vail/Avon (VON) and Steamboat Springs (SBS).
