It gives the genuine enthusiast a chance to properly see an original 'Emil' in flight, and is a good reference for scale modellers.

A very fine photo showing lots of details of a very rare airplane. I did not know there was a flyable 109 anywhere with a db601 engine. Now, how about a sound version? Does it sound like a Merlin or is it distinctive?

Great to see an old girl still flying

It's good to see this 109 with a restored Daimler-Benz engine rather than the Rolls Royce Merlin a lot of them were fitted with. As far as I know this is the only airworthy 109 with the Daimler-Benz, can anyone confirm this??

It comes from an age when people hardly move their head to see the threat gathering by hundreds, the sound was enough...
Now, we have all the time and freedom to appreciate each line and color of this famous warbird, a handsome hunter.

I really like the warbird shots, but wonder why people don't post some shots in B/W?!? This is a classic portrait of this once feared hunter.
