I have to say too, when the upside down, the water CAN'T BE rejected because the system is emptied via gravity... It's not performance, but logic

A visitor from Germany posted Thu June 11, 2009:
Spectacular performance

Man those Italians are crazy I've seen them do rolls with the Spartan at an air show and now there doing half rolls with the CL-415. There crazy

A visitor from Norway posted Wed November 9, 2005:
A maneuver which I have never seen before with this type of aircraft, and also with the water makes the picture look great. It really shows some of the performances of the aircraft.

Stunning to say the least... 5/5!!!

"please notice the position of the aerolons, as if it was the other way round it would have got into a dive."

Those are the flaps. still think it is BS

A visitor from France posted Thu October 20, 2005:
I didn't know that this aircraft could do such manoeuvers !

A visitor from United States posted Mon October 17, 2005:
You do not see this at most air shows and not many would try it!

A visitor from United States posted Thu October 13, 2005:
What appears to be a non-acrobatic aircraft is clearly performing an unusual, to say the least, maneuver. Add to that - disgorging a big load of water UPWARDS puts the icing on the cake.

A visitor from Germany posted Tue October 11, 2005:
Yeeeehaaaa!!!! Great!! I love he pilot! He's my neighbour! I call him Crazy Joe!

A visitor from Brazil posted Mon October 10, 2005:
Great pic, but I still can't believe that it is performing a half loop.

While I think it's mad, bad and very dangerous, I think it must be genuine - gravity works - look as the way the water is coming from the rear of the hopper and running back along the aircraft. If the picture was rotated would water be rising behind the aircraft?

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 8, 2005:
Spectacular, death defying, eye spliting, ball dropping picture. Let's see if Tom Cruise can perform that stunt.

A visitor from United States posted Sat October 8, 2005:
YEEEE HAAWWW! That's awesome! An (almost) normal plane doing an extraordinary thing. Simply awesome!

A visitor from Philippines posted Sat October 8, 2005:
I thought only Migs and F18s can do those. But then A. It's a Canadair fire-fighting aircraft and B. The water coming out only adds to the amazing effect. One of the best aircraft photographs I've seen!

A visitor from Canada posted Sat October 8, 2005:
Its crazy! You have to love those crazy canucks!

Great skilled pilot as I also was the witness of this maneuver. Great Shot !! And for all those dumb persons who call themselves aviation enthusiasts, please notice the position of the aerolons, as if it was the other way round it would have got into a dive.
