A visitor from United Kingdom posted Mon November 24, 2008:Do you know what the scariest bit is? With all its analogue controls and dated look, one of those huge planes managed to make its way to within 19 miles of UK airspace in Kent without being noticed. Now, imagine a little revamp on this baby. Russians were always good at chess and God help us if they once again found a way to put the world's superpowers in check with a trick as old as the cold war.
A visitor from Russian Federation posted Fri October 17, 2008:Dont foget this plane must be used even after nuclear explode
A visitor from Russian Federation posted Mon October 13, 2008:I love this!
A visitor from Israel posted Fri October 10, 2008:Well, I would say, for "Russia's most fearsome bomber" the equipment looks kind of outdated. Can't believe there is not a single screen or electronic instrument installed. If all the radar and ECM systems are in the same technological state - the bird is useless.
A visitor from United States posted Sun September 28, 2008:What a great photo with good clarity. I wonder though why Russian aircraft always seemed to have the cockpit area painted in either a greenish color or this aquamarine color. Nice to see a classic analogue cockpit though. :)
A visitor from - posted Sun September 14, 2008:Yes...the fans and the aqua/teal pannel...very Russian.
A visitor from Poland posted Sun September 7, 2008:Superb Shot!!! No doubt that this cockpit is an amazing workplace for it's pilots!!! I would love to sit in left or right seat for even a few minutes!!! *****
A visitor from Iran, Islamic Republic Of posted Sat August 30, 2008:A little different from what you can see in Flight Simulator X... And, what's with the red button on captain's stick? Open the main hatch? Or fire an ICBM?
A visitor from United States posted Thu April 10, 2008:I can't believe it!!! This is the most amazing cockpit ever!!! Five stars of course. I wish I've taken it...
A visitor from Iran, Islamic Republic Of posted Mon November 5, 2007:Absolutely fantastic! This is the first shot I have ever seen from Tu160's cockpit! No doubt for 5 stars! (I wish there was 10 stars choice!!!)
