Great red star fighter! For those who ask: on MiG-31 the airbrakes are part of landing gear doors, so when gear is extended airbrakes are open too. "That thing sicking out" is actually a periscope for the back-seater, which in this case is probably an instructor. 5* panning shot, спасибо большое Костя!

Great pic! What's that thing sticking out of the fuselage behind the aft canopy? A mirror because of what has to be poor backward visibility, or a airintake of some kind?

Top gun photographer! I absolutely love gray everything and just three bright spots - two nozzles and a bright red star. VERY nice.

Motion-blurred trees in the back ground, yet crisp details on the aircraft... brilliant! Also, the chromatic highlights of afterburners and red star really make this pic stand out. Kudos! BTW, anyone knows why airbrakes appear to be extended in a take-off?

5 stars for the fastest fighter in the world!

I love the way the whole picture is nearly black and white, and then the yellow and orange of the flame coming out of the massive engines just makes this a great picture. The blurring of the background is great, if you hadn't done that the gray of the aircraft would be lost in the gray background. Also note the heat distortion in the exhaust. Awesome photo.
