Excellent perspective and lighting. Any ideas of how the moveable LERX seems to have a 'soft' hinge?

Sure the best T-50 I've ever seen!

I like it. Looks better than the F-22.
Any clues about the intakes in the vertical stabilisers?

Awesome Pic. I wonder what its performance numbers are like. This is one of many reasons I don't think having a single engine jet fighter as the USA's number one fighter is such a good idea. (I expect this T-50 can out perform a F-35 on any given sunday)

I thought it was an f-22 from the thumbnail... beautiful aircraft...

Looks like most Russian jets: EVIL. It works, too. Beautiful and sinister jet.

Honey, I fusioned the SU27 with the YF23.
This fighter is the next logical update of the Su27.
And the red stars should be red gleaming, not only outlined.

This plane has more from Flanker than YF23. Actually it has no element that looks like same from YF23.

Great Work Max!
I'm anxiously waiting for the twin-seater Indian AirForce Version.
The T-50 looks Fantastic.

Flanker's DNA is strong enough in this bird. May be, it's just a stealth form of Su-35

The best picture of T-50 available.
Is it me - or configuration of intakes appear to be able to change?

Asking the British guy: the moving surface you see is a kind of a canard, not the air intakes. These are underneath, and are fixed.
Anonymous
The moving surface is a movable leading edge root extension. It allows the wing to generate lift at high angles of attack without stalling.

I got it, I got it. Just never seen leading edge like this.
And I am a Russian guy - I have no idea why the sytem moves me to UK.

I must say that Russians created really unique aircraft. All moving keels I've seen only on SR-71 and Moving LERX is really new thing.

Really good-looking plane. It's livery is really better than the first pictures of newspapers. Could be little bit more like in Su-35BM. Still one of my favourite planes. 5 stars.

I was waiting for it so long. "Beauty" in all her greatness.

For visitor from Kazakhstan. Also you can see all moving keel on Russian Myasishchev M-50 (First flight - October 27, 1959) and Tupolev Tu-160 (First flight - December 18, 1981).

I guess the design is from a badly drown F22 picked from a cereal box..! Another bad copy of a western jet.. nice.
Great photo anyway.
Anonymous

It is obviously not a copy, and only time will show... better or worse. As to me... pregnant F-22 obviously loses to PAK FA in all aspects. But there is no sense to argue about tastes.

It's a great looking plane, it's a very nice photo of it.........but I still don't like the "haphazard" paint scheme.

The wings look so small compared to the rest of the airframe
Anonymous

The wings only look 'small' because of it's a partial lifting body aircraft.

For those who says it is a copy of F22 Raptor: it is like saying that F-15 is a copy of MiG-25. They may have same look in some ways but for example this has all different wing style (knowing Sukhoi it gives excellent agility) and it haves those things which looks like some kind of canards. F-15 and MiG-25 engine air intakes look a little same but otherwise they are very different planes.
And there is one more difference: I think T50 looks better than F22 ;)

To the Finnish commentator,

Yes, in fact the F-15 is a response to the MiG-25 before they learned the that the MiG-25 was not an air-superiority fighter.

Its just a beautiful, unstoppable predator, this Su-50! Before ive seen this picture, the fighter looked for me not very nice, but from now, its my lifelong love... I cant explain the beauty of this thing and the raptor is shit in comparison with this! In design, performance, avionics, stealth and I hope too in effectiveness.. Viva Su-50! Viva

Do people honestly think this thing is superior to the F-22? The T-50 has not proven anything.
Anonymous
Yes... we are. Honestly... F-22 has not proven anything at all, even after 10 years. I think (I am sure) T-50 will be much better.
Anonymous
The F-22 is far superior!!! I honestly don't think the Russians have even come close to making it stealthy! for example those exposed, round engine nozzles don't help decrease the radar cross section at all...just compare it to the F-22...
Anonymous
It wasn't necessary for the Russians, their purpose was F-35 stealth level - they do not want plane for 350 million $ (all should be moderately and in reasonable limits). But they (Russians) have established 5 radars and optic-electronic station (OLS). F-22, for example, has only one radar and even this one has the limited functionality. PAK FA will be well balanced plane with adequate price, instead of mythical "animal from porcelain" as F-22.

Colors are great against a grey sky, 5 stars! Congratulations Sukhoi! Beautiful aircraft! However, to be truthful, this aircraft is NOT the F-22, and not close. To the English visitor, the F-22 has proven more than you know, like a kill ratio of 88 to 1 in war games against F-15's. T-50 is just a prototype. Anyway,I love Sukhoi, and this aircraft as well! Go T-50!

I agree with the visitor from United Kingdom. I do not care that F-22 proved (as someone think and "know") in... America with... F-15. :-))) The only thing I know - overall performance of T-50 will be better than F-22. F-22 has only one trump (very disputable for its price) - stealth level! But Russia can buy three T-50 for 350 million $ against one F-22, and they will...

Canopy and engines not stealthy. Performance will be far below Raptor.

Sukhoi makes beautiful fighters! Cangrats. on copying the Raptor now ten years later. The great shape and camo provides sizzle, but not much steak here. As always, photo perfect!
Anonymous

To the "English" visitor, yes this is a testbed. And Raptor has flown for more than ten years. AND USAF has moved on to another plane, F-35. Give credit where it is due, and don't make posts where all you provide is your imagination.
From USA.

Amazing photo!! and for the record, an F-22 has never shot down an actual enemy aircraft so its kill ratio is 0:0, same as the Sukhoi.

Beautiful aircraft! Love the colors. To the comment below, wake up from your dream world. The 22 will always be better, sorry, but true.

At a Top Gun excercise at Nellis AFB a few years back when they were sorting out the Raptor...one F-22 had something like a 75-1 kill ratio against F-15's. The Eagle Drivers said they never knew what hit 'em until the referee sidelined them!
