Great picture, looks like a very powerful plane. I doubt Russia is far behind with pollution. Look at Norilsk. No cities in America that are like that.
Amazing picture a great plane would love I fly in one. The Americans comment made me LOL as he comes from a nation with the about 2nd highest CO2 output... Hmmm.... Intresting...
Which one was built first? B1 or T160? both of them look so similar... sombody just did a copy..
Wow, just look at all the heat coming out of those engines! Fantastic looking aircraft as well!
Pretty shot with heavy exhaust... like it
Pretty shot with heavy exhaust... like it
Come on, feel the noise!
I'm guessing this is not one of Russia's quietest places!
Impressive!!!, There are many words to describe this beautiful beast, but in a moment like this in the picture --- speechless!!!
First of all, this is an amazing picture of an amazing airplane, second of all, regarding the "Russian secretiveness" comment, nothing to do with Russia, each and every army has it own secrets that they must keep to themselves, if every army would reveal its full potential, they would lose theyre advantage.
That's why they don't need snow plows at Russian airbases... just take one of these, put it at one end of the runway with rear pointing towards runway, 5 secs full thrust with brakes on and that's it...
Tu-160 is twice bigger than american B1 Lancer, and with speed of Mach 2,3 it is twice faster also.
That's an impressive amount of exhaust, but when you think those engines were designed to lift the aircraft and however many tons of nuclear ordinance into the sky... The American Equivalent, the B-1, can fly supersonically, so I'm assuming this one can too.
This is Kubinka AF base, about 70 km near Moscow. Tu-160 was a part of military show for President Medvedev
Wow...and you wonder...what's contributing to Global Warming? hmmm....interesting...
I can say only one word: WOW!!! I feel like if it was taking off in front of me! More shots like this, please.
Is that by any chance the new livery of the Russian Air Force? Seen on the Tail?
EPA Anyone? | |
Awesome picture, no doubt about it. But I don't understand this russian secretiveness. Whats that all about? Don't wanna tell us were you take this nice pictures so you keep the monopoly. I dont understand it and really dont like it...
Be afraid... be very afraid!

Absolutely stunning picture.
The symbol of Russia Air Force, awesome
I think Russia should bring out it's own version of the Concorde into service!
Such a large surface area... beautiful snap
Congratulations goes to Soviet engineers for making such a awesome bird! I adore those aerodynamic shaped nose and pilot cabin!
Yeah, see the dirty air...we love it! Concordski is back. Excellent photo.
