I duckling on the ground, a swallow in the skies, or something like that the test pilot summed up the first flight. Still applies! :)

India with resource of 1250 million people concluded a Fighter Jet named as Tejas. It is worthy of replacing the aging fleets of Mig 21s. Most systems of Tejas are hired from different countries

This plane looks like one of those birds you see in a junk yard , missing nose or tail parts.
Great pics. Thank you

Looks like something out of the Thunderbirds. Probably from the same era as those super marionettes. FAB!

This is the jet Homer Simpson would fly if he was a pilot ;>)

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri September 10, 2010:
Not bad from a country of 9 million people. To be able to alone produce one fighter per generation. All of them concidered to be leading for their time.

A visitor from Netherlands posted Fri September 10, 2010:
Tunnan is swedish for barrel:) Who said scandinavians don't have a sense of humour? By the way, it's performance was quite good in its day.

A visitor from Germany posted Fri September 10, 2010:
It looks like a Ta-183

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri September 10, 2010:
A crisp, clear shot of a lovely old plane, impressive that it was still flying in 2009! You can clearly see the global evolution of jet fighters mirrored in the Saab series - Draken, Viggen, etc. I miss those days!

A visitor from Sweden posted Fri September 10, 2010:
The Tunnan is actually a tiny plane. Fat and tiny.

A visitor from United States posted Wed August 4, 2010:
The MIG21 has obviously gained some weight over the years...

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat June 12, 2010:
Great stuff! I dont think its as heavy as it looks though.

A visitor from Canada posted Fri June 11, 2010:
Hahaha..looks like a F86... and gained some weight after all these years...with a sleepy happy face..lol...good photo!

A visitor from Greece posted Fri June 11, 2010:
