And I like steep turns in a Cherokee! I can't imagine the thrill

Great supersonic cloud burst-thru, as Rockwell B-1B banks away.

A visitor from United States posted Wed March 5, 2008:
Truly a unique photo that beautifully showcases the nature of this menacing and powerful bird!

A visitor from United States posted Sun July 22, 2007:
Great shot of this powerful plane

A visitor from Russian Federation posted Wed February 21, 2007:
Nice! The shot shows 100% military nature of the plane.

A visitor from United States posted Fri October 6, 2006:
Very impressive shock fog! Only thing that would make it better would be to go along for the ride...

A visitor from United States posted Tue September 26, 2006:
Wow!

A visitor from Indonesia posted Wed August 30, 2006:
If i'm not mistaken, as seen from its shock wave, this Bone is about to pass Mach 1. She is so sexy. wish i could fly her fast and low. Don't know when...

A visitor from Belgium posted Tue August 22, 2006:
Captured this very same moment on video that afternoon, but that's not nearly as impressive as this shot. nice work...

A visitor from France posted Mon June 26, 2006:
Just i can say unbeliveable , tnx a bunch .

A visitor from Turkey posted Wed May 31, 2006:
Great timing!

A visitor from United States posted Sat April 22, 2006:
The angle of the shot is unique and shows more than just the plane coming thru the sound barrier. you can see the engine glow and colors refracted in the moisture around the plane. while this picture is not as clear as to what the plane is doing, it provides a completely different perspective than usual.

A visitor from Venezuela posted Fri March 24, 2006:
WOW¡¡¡ Nice shoot, amazing¡¡¡

As a crew chief for the Bone, I get a warm fuzzy every time I see it wings swept and punching a vapor cloud through the sky

A visitor from United States posted Sun January 29, 2006:
Absolutely captures the essence of this airoplane

A visitor from United States posted Thu January 26, 2006:
I have 836.7 of the best flight hours of my life in the "Bone" and this photo is as good as any I've seen. The jet is limited to 3g's due to it's large size and judging by the "vapes" they're pulling all 3!!!!!

A visitor from United States posted Fri January 20, 2006:
Everyone else pretty much summed it up, this photo doesn't even need a reason! VERY nice shot...can't get too much better than that!!

Amazing shot.

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat August 27, 2005:
Vanquished, cut through and shed, the dull Belgian atmosphere surrenders in a spectacular white rainbow-tinted burst to a B-1B. Yielding masses of condensation, its surfaces enveloped and contrails streaming from its wingtips, this B-1B swoops past and into the distance. It teases and mesmerises the viewer in its escape with scant hints of minimum afterburner, apparent visually only as four shimmering crimson halos glowing deep within, skirting the walls of each nozzle, acoustically their orchestra forms a thunderous crackle, that resonates throughout the Belgian air exaggerating the throttle setting.

A visitor from Australia posted Fri August 26, 2005:
You need a reason? This is one of the greatest shots on airliners.net EVER!

A visitor from United Kingdom posted Fri August 26, 2005:
Well this picture really speaks for itself. Masses of condensation pouring off the jet as it speeds past in minimum burner.

A visitor from Australia posted Thu August 25, 2005:
Rare event
nice speed
dramatic turn
good glows
never in Australia

A visitor from United States posted Thu August 25, 2005:
This amazing view of B-1 as the vapor from wings creates a rainbow of colors.

A visitor from Italy posted Wed August 24, 2005:
I never see the B1 for real, but with your shot I feel about at the field like you

A visitor from New Zealand posted Wed August 24, 2005:
The way he shot it with turbulence with
the sun shining gives it a special
glow

A visitor from Belgium posted Wed August 24, 2005:
One of the best shots on Airliners of the B-1! Well done!

A visitor from United States posted Wed August 24, 2005:
Fantastic!

A visitor from United States posted Wed August 24, 2005:
Excellent capture of the vapor and the rainbows surrounding the wing root. Nice composition and a great capture of a fine action shot.

A visitor from Germany posted Wed August 24, 2005:
The fact that you can see the red in the engines... very nice! plus the condensation above and under the plane, very cool!

A visitor from Belgium posted Wed August 24, 2005:
Fantastic! My pics at that airshow didn't show that well :)

A visitor from Germany posted Tue August 23, 2005:
WOW!! In my opinion one of the best shots on this site-well done!!

A visitor from United States posted Tue August 23, 2005:
This picture is insane. I love the wingtip vortices as well as the condensation cloud surrounding the plane. This is one of my favorite planes.
