It is rugby related, so as you come from Germany you probably won't know about it as its not big with you guys! :)

The noseart is meant to depict an Irish rugby player I believe. And it's meant to show the rivalry in rugby.

A visitor from Ireland posted Mon May 29, 2006:
It's to do with the recent rugby game between irish sides Leinster & Munster, MOL clearly opting to support the winners!

A visitor from Ireland posted Mon May 29, 2006:
It’s not stupid or dumb. Its gamesmanship! Two Irish rugby teams, one called Munster the other Leinster. Munster beat Leinster in the Heineken European Cup semi-finals and then beat French team Biarritz in the final. No prizes for guising which team Ryanair support. Ryanair’s two founders are both from Munster (Tipperary and Waterford) although Michael O’Leary (Ryanair CEO) is from Leinster. The “Brown Tomas” bag is a reference to an exclusive department store in Dublin (capital of Leinster as well as Ireland) and suggests that Leinster are just a bunch of “girls” who like shopping!

A visitor from France posted Mon May 29, 2006:
The guy was hit by a 737 while shopping for a football in mid -air ... thats all

A visitor from Germany posted Mon May 29, 2006:
This special livery relates to the Rugby Heineken Cup. Munster (Ireland) won it this year.

Does anybody have a clue what this "painting" is supposed to say, or do you all think just like me, what a dumb thing on the nose of an aircraft.
