A visitor from United Kingdom posted Sat December 26, 2009: Great shot. But the pilot disembarked normally with the open canopy. The canopy was broken when touching the water. After the pilot disembarked, the canopy was closed again to prevent water entering. I was there. Regards.

A visitor from Switzerland posted Sun May 18, 2008: Awesome! :) but why did the pilot smash the cockpit when there is an emergency cockpit-jettison..which in the picture clearly hasn't been used. You can also see that the glider is equipped with FLARM (kind of a TCAS for small avs.)

I like the story behind it and the fact that the people in the plane survived the incident. Also, the photo itself appeals to me: I like the lines and the colors.
