Where's the fuel ? ! | |
I wouldn't swear to it but it looks like his pitot tube cover is still on. I've never heard of a painted pitot tube, they get too hot for paint to stick. What are those red and white stripes on the pitot tube? Yikes !
5 Stars to this nice big photo. This aircraft deserves to be captured in such a detailed photo. Hey, is the rear propeller stopped?
Great Shot. To the user 2 comments below me: In addition to taking this photo, Mr. Bagai actually designed the main rotor(s) for this aircraft. This is a photograph of the X2's very first flight.
Brother of the AH-56 Cheyenn. good to see an Antique back in Testing
Very interesting A /C ! (I'm reluctant to call it a helicopter) Seems Mr. Bagai has quite an "eye" for unusual aircraft! ( Great photo BTW
Good shot | |
Great shot and rare aircraft! (May I say it looks like a Kamov? ;-)
NOTAR (not tail rotor) is much simpler to fly because the two main blades counter rotate to off set the torque. RC model helicopters (same principle exactly) are very stable in this mode.
Pretty sure this thing was projected to hit like 250 kias or so....I remember reading in a magazine! Great catch!
Nice idea | |
Nice! a faster chopper?
Wow, now that's something new and interesting you don't see every day.
This "is" the most unusual helicopter I've ever seen, but also the most exotic looking. This is a photo worth more than 5 stars. I live near KEMT, and see a lot of helicopter traffic, but have never seen one like this - awesome!
Photo quality is excellent, shows great detail.
