So this bird is not just a hybrid with British and Singaporean blood, and French (Aerospatiale), but it has American blood, too. U to the S to the A thanks to Braniff. Still it would make more sense to me if the whole left side was orange or blue then, if you get what I mean... Highly interesting, this particular aircraft should AFAIC be in the top ten of coolest ever.
It pleases me greatly, to see such a great aircraft. i remember as a child on the west coast of scotland, when they were doing trials, and the sonic boom shook the house...happy days
Once in a lifetime shot... proud to be a Singaporean
Correction: the original (and final) registration was G-BOAD, not G-OAD. She was dually registered in the UK and US; she received G-N94AD when it was leased by Braniff. When it was operated by Braniff on (subsonic) domestic flights between DFW and IAD, a sticker covered up the "G-", leaving the tail number as N94AD. When this was ended, she was reassigned G-BOAD.
Top Airline Ever | |
Was G-OAD but changed to incorporate american reg for braniff airlines as it operated for them too.
Once in a lifetime shot. Only two flights were flown as Singapore Airlines.
Hey, I´ve never seen a Concord with color schemes other than British Airways or Air France. At first sight, you may think that it´s Singapore Airlines operating a Concord. But it is actually a BA aircraft being shared with Singapore Airlines. Anyway, it is a very interesting picture. I give 5 stars for photographer´s shot.
Oh my, i've never seen a concorde that wasn't for british airways or air france before!
This Concorde belons to British Airways but they shared it with Singapore Airlines. The other side has the colourscheme of BA. A very rare pic!
What?? singapore airlines?? nice pic and a pretty bird
Remember the Braniff concorde ?
What country is G-N94AD registered to? I thought British started with G but had 4 letter following it. Can anyone explain this?
Wow ! That's one rare photo !! Priceless
This photo is great, i think that you know what do we remember with it.
Interesting. | |
It's unusual to see the Concorde in other airlines other than British or Air France. Good capture Gerard.
