The amazing A380 made her first ever flight outside Europe to Singapore as part of an Asian tour of the aircraft. She landed at Changi on 02C and was made to taxi to "South Cross 2" for a photo shoot. She initially crossed the bridge from right to left and then turned around to position for the photos. She is pictured here "in position". It was a day I will never ever forget. Dedicated to my best friend Kok Chwee, whom without his kindness I would never have got this! (Canon 300D)

Great PIC ! You can see some airport staff looking in awe in the background to the left. It would be great if there was a B747 pic for comparison.

What a shot!! Hope that taxi-way bridge over the airport entry road can handle the massive weight of that aircraft! Hopefully AirBus Industries will make a North American tour soon and visit Salt Lake City (SLC).

Very interesting, and extremely well positioned. I also like the lighting.

A bit more centering would have made this shot fantastic.

Looking at this tremendous Aircraft it makes you wonder how many runways will beable to take its weight,I think watching this Aircraft coming in to land I would close my eyes, and cross my fingers.

An A380 in full Singapore Airlines livery will make its appearance at the Asian Aerospace airshow which will be held in Singapore next month. Changi would have the interesting honour of being the first airport in the world to ever host the A380 on 2 seperate occasions so far.

This is COOL! Compare the cars to the A380! That truck under the bridge is smaller than the engine!

Excellent photo, but PLEASE stop calling the aircraft "HER" and "SHE". IT is a mechanical, man-made aircraft. IT does not have a human gender, and is neither male nor female. IT is an "IT", NOT a "SHE" !!

Lovely shot, what a big bird!! And by the way, to the earlier comment, almost all transport vehicles/vessels are generically referred to as 'she'... maybe because women have always carried men ;) This girl will certainly carry a fair few!!

Look at the size of the engines, you can easily park a car inside one engine, or even 2 cars! Great picture.

This is a huge bird. the photo relates its size with other day to day scenarios. lets hope its much safer - so many lives can be lost. On the other hand, its the way forward
